There is no application in the conventional sense. There is, instead, a conversation — brief, direct, and sufficient to determine whether this is the right place for a given student.
Four Steps to Join
Send a message to introduce your child and share what you are looking for, or reserve a time for a short consultation. Both are complimentary.
Following the initial consultation, prospective students are invited to a colloquium with the lead instructor — a direct conversation of up to thirty minutes, conducted live in English over Zoom. Placement is not determined by a written examination or prior transcript; it is determined through this conversation.
What is being observed is the student's natural disposition, curiosity, and capacity for structured thought. The form of the colloquium depends on the student's background in Latin, and is described in full below.
Following the colloquium, the lead instructor assigns the student to the appropriate course and stage. Families who wish to proceed may then secure the student's place by paying either a tuition deposit or the full tuition amount.
The deposit is credited in full toward tuition. Whether a deposit or the full amount is paid, tuition is due in full before the start of the course. No seat is held without payment.
Enrollment is finalized through our registration process. Upon completion, families receive confirmation of placement, course materials, and a Zoom link for the first session. The student is expected, prepared, and welcome.
The Colloquium
Prior knowledge of Latin is not required of beginning students, nor are candidates evaluated through standard diagnostics. Placement is determined through a colloquium with the instructor — a direct conversation of up to thirty minutes, conducted in English. What is being observed is the student's natural disposition, curiosity, and capacity for structured thought.
