Bring your own group

If your child has three or more friends who want to learn Latin too, you do not have to wait for our schedule. Come as a group of four or more, and the group chooses the time.

The privilege of arriving together

Our regular courses are set before each term, at times that suit the most students. A group that arrives already formed skips all of that. Tell us when the students are free, and the group chooses freely among the times the teacher has open. A group may begin at the start of a term or in the middle of one, at any point in the year.

A group might be classmates from the same school, cousins, the children of parents who are friends, or a school’s Latin club with no Latin teacher. All are welcome.

What a group can take

Why friends learn well together

A student who has promised a friend she will be in class on Saturday is in class on Saturday. Friends quiz each other between lessons without being asked, and a certamen among friends is livelier than one among strangers. There is a reason the old universities built their teaching around small groups of students who lived and argued together.

How to start

  1. One parent writes to us

With the students’ grades, any Latin they have studied, and the days and times that suit them. KakaoTalk in Korean, WhatsApp in English, or email.

  2. We suggest the course

And a time that suits the group. For students who already know some Latin, a short Placement Reading each, free, so the course fits everyone.

  3. The group begins

Each family receives the Google Classroom and Zoom links and the materials before the first class. Every class is recorded, as always.

A group needs at least four students. Tuition for a group is given in the first conversation. About tuition →
