National Latin Honor Society
2022 Induction
Emerson Latin wishes to congratulate Esther Lee for her induction into the National Latin Honor Society this year. Membership is awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding scholarship and passion for Latin and classical studies and who possess integrity and initiative in their academic and extracurricular lives.
To be eligible, the student must receive top grades in two of our Latin literature courses and win first prize in a variety of international contests in Latin and the classical humanities.
According to the National Latin Honor Society, induction into the society matters because it shows prospective colleges and employers that the student values high academic achievement and has maintained proper citizenship. Colleges especially value membership because they are eager to accept students who challenge themselves in meaningful courses.
