The Student Body
Every student here chose Latin deliberately, usually on top of a demanding course load at a competitive school. Nobody ends up in this classroom by accident.
Students join from Seoul to New York: from international schools across Asia, from boarding and independent schools in the United States and Britain, and from cities as far apart as Singapore, Dubai, and London. A student in Seoul and a student in New Hampshire read the same passage, held to the same standard, in the same class. Latin does not check passports.
Some come because they met Rome in a myth and wanted the real thing. Some come looking for a serious test. Some come, or their parents do, because they have noticed that Latin builds a patience and precision that little else does. What they share is a willingness to sit with a difficult sentence until it yields.
What follows is a partial record: schools our students have come from, and universities to which they have since been admitted. None of these lists is complete, and none is offered as a promise. The schools are named as places our students attend; none is affiliated with Emerson Latin.
